Metallics Part II & All-White Madness
Since I discussed the rising popularity of metallics in my recent post about the Fashion Gala why not discuss where we, the fabulous non-celebrities that we are, can find some metallic items for the summer? It’ll be easy b/c they’re all over the place:

And in doing my research for this, I found the shoes I’m going to wear to my friend’s wedding reception this Memorial Day Weekend. They’re from NaNa Shoes and are called the “Darius” wedge. There are some criss-crosses of silver in them. These sandals are sooo soooo…
Yes. Hot. That is the word. I’m so feeling these wedges that I just bought them an hour ago.
You can find them at Journeys.com for $39.99 USD, however, they only have sizes 6 and 6.5 left in the mint/silver color. Journeys also has the patent-leather black/white color, and in this color they have all sizes (6-10). I wanted the mint/silver (to match turquoise jewelry) and I’m a size 9-9.5 (shush! I’m a tall gal ;) ) so I had to find them elsewhere. I did some googling and found them on Amazon.com but for $89.95 with free shipping. *Sighs* I bought them anyway. Yes, I meant business. Amazon has them in mint/silver, light blue/silver as well as white/rainbow.
So, me playing fashion stylist, and having “the vision”, here’s an idea of how I’m going to wear my all-white outfit for the event (click on image for more details):
I know, I know… all the moms out there are like “this girl is delusional crazy for even attempting to wear all white with a 5 month old baby.” Yes. I am crazy. But I can blame my girlfriend b/c she is the one requiring all-white dress code! And can I just mention that SHE has a 9 month old!? SHE’s the crazy one! I’m just respecting the dress code *evil grin* Heh…
